On Tuesday, August 23 from 8am-5pm, a Mental Health First Aid USA training program will take place at the PA National Guard Armory in Oil City, PA. To register, please email mooren6@upmc.edu. A person you know could be experiencing a mental health or substance abuse problem. Learn an action plan to help.

The Annual Veterans Day Parade is on Saturday, November 7th at 9:30am, begins on the corner of 26th Street and State Street and marches south on State ending at the Erie VA Medical Center.  The Ceremony begins at the Jefferson Schol Auditorium located across from the Erie VA Medical Center.  The community is invited to attend as we pay tribute to local Veterans.

2nd Annual Veterans Breakfast on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at the Polish Falcon Club from 9am-11:30am

On Tuesday, 20 October at 7:00 PM at the Lavery Brewing Company, 128 W 12th St, Erie PA, all currently serving and veteran Commissioned and Warrant officers of all branches of service are invited to attend the Erie MOAA reorganization meeting.

Friday, September 18 at 1pm the Erie VA Medical Center is hosting the annual Prisoners of War/Missing in Action (POWs/MIA) Remembrance Ceremony to honor our Nation’s most revered heroes.

Tuesday, September 22 or 23, the Erie VAMC will host Dementia Awareness Panel Discussions for veterans, their families, caregivers, and community members.

Friday, September 11 from noon-12:30 p.m. the Erie VAMC will host the annual Suicide Prevention Awareness Walk to remember those who were taken by suicide and to further build awareness of suicide prevention programs available to Veterans.
