Dementia Awareness Sessions – Ask the Experts

When:  Tuesday, September 22 from 1pm-2:30pm or Wednesday, September 23 from 10am-11:30am (repeat session)

Location:  Erie VA Medical Center – 2nd Floor Conference Rooms

Details:  Veterans, their families, caregivers, and community members are invited to attend one of two Dementia Awareness Panel Discussions led by local medical, caregiver, and Alzheimer’s experts.  During this session, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions from medical professionals and learn about dementia.  A reminiscence activity will be offered concurrently for Veterans while caregivers attend the panel discussion.

Brews, Board Games, and Banter

Team RWB will be at the Erie Brewing Company (6008 Knowledge Pkwy, Erie, PA) on June 14, 2018, starting at 7 pm. Come out, have some fun, meet new people, and try some tasty, locally brewed beverages! Weather permitting, they will be out on the patio where their dogs can join in the fun. You do not have to be a member to come.

Welcome Home Veterans Appreciation Event at the Zoo

The annual Welcome Home Veterans Appreciation Event at the Erie Zoo is coming up on Friday, July 13 from 6pm-9pm. All Veterans and their families are invited. Tickets become available starting Monday, June 11.  Tickets are FREE but limited so act fast (tickets are limited to four per Veteran). Call for or pickup tickets at the Transition & Care Management Office (814) 860-2567 at the Erie VAMC on the 1st Floor; Voluntary Service Office (814) 860-2453 at the Erie VAMC on the 2nd Floor; and Vet Center (814) 453-7955 at 240 W 11th St, Erie, PA.
