On Friday, September 11th at 3:15pm at Luther Memorial Church 220 W 11th St in Erie, the Second Harvest Food Bank will distribute fresh produce and groceries for veterans, military members, and their families who are in need.

On September 29th and 30th, the Erie County Suicide Prevention Task Force has organized a conference where hundreds of community members and organizations come together to help get the word out about suicide prevention and open the lines of communication for those who struggle with mental illness.

Boots on Ground will hold a fundraiser at Skibinski Picnic Grove, 5571 Henderson Road, on Saturday from 3pm - 7pm, to raise awareness and provide support for military members, veterans, and their families coping with PTSD.

Saturday, August 22nd - Free workshops to help with the unique challenges facing military and veterans in financial and investment decisions.

 Voice of the Veteran Town Hall Meeting.  During the meeting, Veterans and their families can share positive VA experiences with and suggest improvement opportunities to VA staff regarding services offered at the Erie VAMC.

Honoring Service, Empowering Health

1/9/2015 (Erie, PA) –Erie VA Medical Center (VAMC) invites Veterans, their families, and community stakeholders to attend a Voice of the Veteran Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, February 5^th from 5:30pm-7pm. 

Edinboro University Student Veterans Association will lead a Pet Adoption Fair at the Edinboro Volunteer Fire Department (EVFD) with a special promotion of the local “Pets for Vets.” This program is dedicated to rescuing, training, and pairing shelter pets as companions for veterans.   Shelter animals will be available who are looking for new homes.  Applications will be accepted for those wishing to adopt.
