Wills and Powers of Attorney

On Tuesday, February 27th at two convenient times: Noon to 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, join Tye Cressman, a Certified Elder Law Attorney focusing on the areas of elder law, estate planning, Medicaid planning, and estate administration, and Kim Lengling, Director Community Relations of Juniper Village at Meadville to learn more about Wills and Powers of Attorney.

  • Estate planning fundamentals, including how Wills and Powers of Attorney operate, and why they are important.
  • Long-term care choices as we age, and applicable payment systems, public benefits for care.
  • Aid and Attendance benefit for Veterans and surviving spouses of Veterans. Options for senior living.

Attendees will receive program handouts covering the issues discussed, as well as a simple questionnaire that can be returned to C&E to prepare and execute a valid Will and Power of Attorney. Veterans who attend the presentation will be eligible to receive a valid Will and Power of Attorney with a donation to a designated local 501(c)3 providing assistance to local veterans and their families.

The program will be held at Juniper Village at Meadville, located at 455 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA. Please, RSVP to (814) 333-4400 by Friday, February 23rd to secure your seat.

Brews, Board Games, and Banter

Team RWB will be at the Erie Brewing Company (6008 Knowledge Pkwy, Erie, PA) on June 14, 2018, starting at 7 pm. Come out, have some fun, meet new people, and try some tasty, locally brewed beverages! Weather permitting, they will be out on the patio where their dogs can join in the fun. You do not have to be a member to come.

Welcome Home Veterans Appreciation Event at the Zoo

The annual Welcome Home Veterans Appreciation Event at the Erie Zoo is coming up on Friday, July 13 from 6pm-9pm. All Veterans and their families are invited. Tickets become available starting Monday, June 11.  Tickets are FREE but limited so act fast (tickets are limited to four per Veteran). Call for or pickup tickets at the Transition & Care Management Office (814) 860-2567 at the Erie VAMC on the 1st Floor; Voluntary Service Office (814) 860-2453 at the Erie VAMC on the 2nd Floor; and Vet Center (814) 453-7955 at 240 W 11th St, Erie, PA.
