The Patriot's Ruck - 5K Run/Walk |

The Pathfinder Club of Gannon University has organized the Patriot's Ruck as a fundraiser for homeless veterans. The event is scheduled for November 4 at the Gannon University Recreation Center (Corner of 4th and Peach Street, Erie, PA.) Registration begins at 7:30 am. Event opening will take place between 8:00 and 8:30 am. The race begins at 8:45 am. The 5K will be run/walked on the streets of downtown Erie. Participants will carry a backpack/rucksack filled with donation supplies to be donated at the conclusion of the run/walk. Donation Supplies include laundry detergent, trash bags, sheets, paper towels, blankets, washcloths, towels, deodorant, etc. The event is free without a t-shirt, $8 with a t-shirt. You may request a shirt during online registration or by contacting GU Pathfinder President, Anthony Sparacino. Prizes will be given to the 1 st Place Runner and to the participant with the heaviest backpack/rucksack. There will also be a 50/50 raffle. Each participant must complete a separate entry form and waiver to participate in the 5K.
