Support Our Troops Week
- When: Tuesday through Sept. 14.
- Where: Pittsburgh Inn, 3725 West Lake Road.
- Collecting: Items to send to local troops overseas.
- Needed: Ground cinnamon; bug repellent; sticky mouse traps; fly strips; sunscreen; Energizer lithium AA, AAA and 9-volt batteries; white, black or green socks; shaving cream; laundry soap pods; hand and foot warmers; freeze pops; fruit and pudding cups; nuts; tuna packets; beef sticks and beef jerky; protein bars; MiO drink mixes; powdered Gatorade and protein drink mixes; coffee K-cups. And for Christmas boxes: battery-operated LED mini lights; batteries; small Christmas stockings.
- Bonus: For each item donated, receive an entry to win a gift basket or $50 Pittsburgh Inn certificate. Also, donors get a free appetizer when they buy an inn meal.

Brews, Board Games, and Banter

Team RWB will be at the Erie Brewing Company (6008 Knowledge Pkwy, Erie, PA) on June 14, 2018, starting at 7 pm. Come out, have some fun, meet new people, and try some tasty, locally brewed beverages! Weather permitting, they will be out on the patio where their dogs can join in the fun. You do not have to be a member to come.

Welcome Home Veterans Appreciation Event at the Zoo

The annual Welcome Home Veterans Appreciation Event at the Erie Zoo is coming up on Friday, July 13 from 6pm-9pm. All Veterans and their families are invited. Tickets become available starting Monday, June 11.  Tickets are FREE but limited so act fast (tickets are limited to four per Veteran). Call for or pickup tickets at the Transition & Care Management Office (814) 860-2567 at the Erie VAMC on the 1st Floor; Voluntary Service Office (814) 860-2453 at the Erie VAMC on the 2nd Floor; and Vet Center (814) 453-7955 at 240 W 11th St, Erie, PA.
