Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War

On January 14th from 11:00am to noon, the McDowell AFJROTC will be hosting an event: the Secretary of Defense's Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War. Erie area Vietnam era veterans and their families will be recognized. The special guest speaker Mr. C. R. Anderegg, Col, USAF (ret.), is originally from Corry, PA. He most recently served on the Senior Executive Service as the Air Force Chief Historian. Vietnam veterans and their families are invited, as well as the general public. This free event will take place at McDowell Intermediate High School (3320 Caughey Rd).

Brews, Board Games, and Banter

Team RWB will be at the Erie Brewing Company (6008 Knowledge Pkwy, Erie, PA) on June 14, 2018, starting at 7 pm. Come out, have some fun, meet new people, and try some tasty, locally brewed beverages! Weather permitting, they will be out on the patio where their dogs can join in the fun. You do not have to be a member to come.

Welcome Home Veterans Appreciation Event at the Zoo

The annual Welcome Home Veterans Appreciation Event at the Erie Zoo is coming up on Friday, July 13 from 6pm-9pm. All Veterans and their families are invited. Tickets become available starting Monday, June 11.  Tickets are FREE but limited so act fast (tickets are limited to four per Veteran). Call for or pickup tickets at the Transition & Care Management Office (814) 860-2567 at the Erie VAMC on the 1st Floor; Voluntary Service Office (814) 860-2453 at the Erie VAMC on the 2nd Floor; and Vet Center (814) 453-7955 at 240 W 11th St, Erie, PA.
