5th Annual Warrior 5K Run

The 5th Annual Warrior 5K Run will be held on June 30, 2018, at Beach One on Presque Isle in Erie, PA. Registration begins at 7:30 am. Race starts at 9 am. Walkers welcome! Cost is $30 if you pre-register or $35 day of the event. To register, visit www.active.com. Medals will be presented to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place runners in each age group.

This race prides itself in the fact that 100% of the proceeds after costs of hosting the event itself, are donated back to the community. This year the 5K has teamed up with another local Nonprofit called Embracing Our Veterans, the Warrior 5K Run officially falls under their 501(c)3 umbrella. They assist veterans in Erie and Crawford County who may find themselves in the gray area of services, specializing in helping transition veterans from homeless to having a home with a warm bed.

Brews, Board Games, and Banter

Team RWB will be at the Erie Brewing Company (6008 Knowledge Pkwy, Erie, PA) on June 14, 2018, starting at 7 pm. Come out, have some fun, meet new people, and try some tasty, locally brewed beverages! Weather permitting, they will be out on the patio where their dogs can join in the fun. You do not have to be a member to come.

Welcome Home Veterans Appreciation Event at the Zoo

The annual Welcome Home Veterans Appreciation Event at the Erie Zoo is coming up on Friday, July 13 from 6pm-9pm. All Veterans and their families are invited. Tickets become available starting Monday, June 11.  Tickets are FREE but limited so act fast (tickets are limited to four per Veteran). Call for or pickup tickets at the Transition & Care Management Office (814) 860-2567 at the Erie VAMC on the 1st Floor; Voluntary Service Office (814) 860-2453 at the Erie VAMC on the 2nd Floor; and Vet Center (814) 453-7955 at 240 W 11th St, Erie, PA.
